Welcome to Yumunotri River Bank Resort , Barkot , India

Yumunotri River Bank Resort is located around 25 km before the Yamunotri Temple. This temple which was constructed by the Maharaja of Tehri Garhwal in 19th century is situated near the source of the auspicious river Yamuna. This Yamunotri is one of the "Chota Char Dham" pilgrimage sites while the other three are Kedarnath, Badrinath and Gangotri. The Yamounotri shrine is situated at the foot of hill which is little difficult to approach and that is why a temple was built on Bandar Poonch Parvat so that pilgrims could offer the pooja to deity Yamunotri at the temple without facing much difficulty.
